Premtape Fire Resistance
  • A cold applied tape which remains plastic over a wide temperature range.
  • Premtape Fire Resistance consists of non-woven synthetic fibre fabric impregnated and coated with a neutral compound based on saturated petroleum hydrocarbons (petrolatum) inert fillers and non-toxic fire retardant additives.
  • Uses:
    • For the protection of buried or exposed pipes, rods, cables, valves and metal fittings from corrosion
    • Waterproofing of cables and thermal insulation where fire resistance is important
    • Service Temperature: -20°C to 70°C
  • Characteristics:
    • Extremely conformable
    • Resistant to water, water vapour and gases
    • Resistant to acid, alkali and salts and micro-organisms
